Taking turns as Captain Nemo, Professor Pierre Arronax, harpooner Ned Land, and Commander Farragut<\/strong>, the actor and director guides the audience through a traveling reading of selected excerpts from Jules Verne\u2019s famous novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purring of engines, the tick-tock of machinery, creaks, explosions, flames, water mist, glowing braziers, and clouds of smoke\u2026<\/strong> bring the text to life. The Halle de La Machine<\/strong> thus becomes the living meeting point of two universes<\/strong>: that of Fran\u00e7ois Delarozi\u00e8re and that of Jules Verne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
